Single-Split Install in a Chiswick Family Home

The Brief

A Chiswick family needed reliable cooling and heating in the main bedroom. They wanted one unit, fitted neatly, with the condenser somewhere unobtrusive and the indoor head on a wall that did not interfere with the room layout. The brief was deliberately tight, no over-spec, just a clean, single-split install that would do the job well.

What We Did

• Site survey: walked the room, confirmed the indoor unit position, agreed an external location for the condenser, and verified the electrical supply.
• Fixed quote: sent a written, itemised price before any work started.
• Indoor head install: mounted on the agreed wall, with concealed pipework dropping cleanly to the external route.
• Outdoor condenser: bracketed to the back wall with anti-vibration mounts, level and secure.
• Pressure test and vacuum: system held pressure, no leaks. Refrigerant charged to spec.
• Commission and hand over: test run on heat and cool modes, controller demoed, paperwork passed over.

The Result

A clean, quiet, single-day install. The room is comfortable in both directions, the external condenser is well-placed away from neighbouring windows, and the homeowner has the F-Gas install and commissioning paperwork on file. One job, properly done, with no follow-up snags.
